This is a very powerful piece of music on the work of art. I'm not religious but it's kind of like a song about Jesus... I love it when songs have a different meanings like that where you could interpret it many different ways that's what makes something really classic when you can listen to it at different times in your life and it has different meaning and they're all special.

Then fall in love with someone else, you can't save her and you're attempting to do it to win her over. I think just about everyone can relate to that last verse at some point in their lives especially when you are young in your teens, it’s sometimes hard to take that next step, but if you are there now and reading this take the chance, don’t be discouraged because of what the results might be, regret can be a terrible thing to live with having it not work out is better than looking back and wondering what if, but you could be missing out on the best thing in your life, take the chance it’s well worth it

Took me over a decade to get a handle on this. To understand just enough of 'why' to be able to say anything of value about it. All people to some small extent, but some people to an extreme extent, enjoy most the feeling of frustration and/or wanting. To satisfy their demand is to take away the thing they want. I am lead to believe this is a recreation of their past, a catharsis of having had needs unmet by their earliest caretakers. This part I'm less sure of but it does seem to make sense. They don't want you to heal the wound by providing them the reliable love they once lacked -- they want to recreate it so they can understand it and feel like they have that tiny bit of mastery over it. They need to understand it. They can't have the solution be external, of course.
